Betty Jo Odom

Betty Jo Odom, 89, of Kingsport passed away at her nieces home, Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Born June 2, 1934 to parents Drexal and Johnnie Lucas, she was a resident of Kingsport her entire life. Betty attended Sullivan High School and then went on to study at ETSU, where she would receive her degree as a dental hygienist. She was a kind, caring and hardworking woman who enjoyed her career and dedicated her life to it. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Wayne Odom; brother, J.D. Lucas; and sister, Mildred Gregg.

She is survived by nieces, Julie Kidd (Garry), Kathy Peters, Stephanie Lucas (Bobby); nephew, Steven Lucas (Theresa); and many more friends.

Friends may call at any time at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport on Saturday, October 14^th or Sunday, October 15^th.

A private graveside will be held later.
