Betty Lawson

Betty Lawson, 80, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 19, 2010.

Born in Lee County, VA, she had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Betty was a homemaker and a member of Good Sheppard Church.

Her husband, James E. Lawson preceded her in death in May 2008.

Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Diane Lawson Osborne and husband, Robert of Woodbridge, VA; sons, Danny Joe Lawson and wife, Jan and Richard Grant Lawson and wife, Drusilla, all of Church Hill; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gladys Hurd of Church Hill and Nancy Tate of Whitmire, SC; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2010 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Robert Fletcher, and Pastor Daris Horne officiating.

Interment will be at Oak Hill Memorial Park Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
