Betty Lawson

Betty Lawson, 62, Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, April 8, 2009, after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was a hairdresser at A Head of Hair in Bloomingdale Community and was a member of Midfield Freewill Baptist Church.

Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Mae Clifton, brother, H. R. Clifton, niece, Angela Clifton, and cousin, Renae McDavid.

Surviving are two daughters, Leea Smith, Rogersville, TN; Deanna Lawson-Mallett, Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Todd Christian Jr., Terry Branham, Jr., Logan Smith, and LeAnne Ramirez, brother, Jackie Clifton, Kingsport, TN; several nieces and nephews, special friends, Fran Conkin, Ann McKinley, Phyllis Ward, and Phyllis Parvin.

Calling hours are 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Gragg officiating.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday at East Lawn Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Thomas McKinley, Johnny Conkin, Jamie Smith, Ed Mallet, Josh Hufford, and Terry Branham, Sr.
