Betty Light

Betty Light, 84, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. Betty was born in Grassy Creek and lived in Hiltons, VA much of her life until moving to Kingsport.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle Light; son, Tim Light; one sister and two brothers.

Betty is survived by four children, Christine Ponichtera, Angie Light, Terry Light and wife, Michelle and Beverly Marshall; five grandchildren, Nichole Marshall, Ciarra Meeker, Karly Catani, Jared Light and Brooke Delph; and four great-grandchildren, Jaden, Kamarion, Lathan and Charlie.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 12:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Pastor Dan Dolen officiating.  Burial will follow in Morrison Cemetery in Beech Creek.  Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
