Betty Pearl Klepper

Betty Pearl Klepper, 87, of Kingsport, died Wednesday night, December 12, 2018, at home surrounded by her family. Born in Erwin, she had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Betty was a 1948 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. She had worked at Johnson-Hilliard for 49 years as office manager. Betty was a charter member of Cedarview Presbyterian Church. She loved to sing and was one part of the Friends Trio.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Ethel "Nanny" Green; 2 sisters, Kathleen Carter and Sula Wheeler; and 2 brothers, Maynard Green and Emory Green.

Betty is survived by her husband, Coy H. Klepper of the home; son, Matthew Todd Klepper and wife, Lori of Shady Valley; 2 grandchildren, Matthew Jordan Klepper and Morgan Elizabeth Klepper; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-6:00 pm on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Cedarview Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Anthony Barnette and Pastor Jeff Morelock officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Cedarview Presbyterian Church c/o the Parking Lot Fund, 105 E. Millpond St., Kingsport, TN 37660.
