Betty Pierce

Betty ?Louise? Painter Pierce, 78, of Fall Branch left her earthly home on February 19th 2007 to be with the Lord.

Louise was born, raised and lived her entire life in Fall Branch. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, ?mimmie?, friend and caregiver. She will always be remembered for her kind and caring heart by everyone who knew her. Louise will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her but we must take comfort in the fact that the angels in heaven were rejoicing as she went home.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jay A. Pierce; her son, Eddie Kyle Pierce; her parents, Herman and Andy Myrtle Painter; a sister, Helen Jean Hoch and three brothers, Roy, Don, and Allen Kipling Painter.

Surviving are her daughter, Pamela Pierce of Fall Branch; granddaughter, Shaunna Steere and husband Ryan of Mount Wolf, PA; grandson Shane Ryans of Palm Beach, FL; two great-granddaughters, Kersten and Alyse Steere of Mount Wolf, PA. A very special niece, ?her other girl?, Kitty Brown and husband Bill of Fayetteville, GA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family extends thanks to all of the doctors and nurses at Indian Path Medical Center as well as the nurses at Wellmont Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson.

Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Roy Thomas, Rev. Victor Wallace and E.B. Moore officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim Brown, Tom Archer, Bill Brown, Larry Painter, Tony Sampson, and Dewight Browder.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dale Harren, Gale English, Ron Morrison, Bryan Robbins, Clarence ?Snake? Grills, and Vestal Tucker.
