Betty Rowland, 71, of Kingsport passed away Monday, June 20, 2011 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was born in Galion, OH & had resided in Kingsport since 1968. Becoming a nurse was lifelong dream that was fulfilled later in her life. Betty spent her last 20 years at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center having worked on A400. She touched the lives of many and she will be greatly missed by all her patients and coworkers. Betty enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Larry Rowland; daughter Karry Troutman and husband, Bill of Kingsport; son Jeff Rowland and wife, Juliann of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Tyler and Nicole Troutman of Kingsport, and Samuel and Sara Rowland of Johnson City.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
