Betty Jo Sharp, 63, Kingsport, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2012, at her daughter's home while surrounded by her entire family following a brief illness. She will be greatly missed.
Betty was born in Kingsport where she had resided her entire life. She worked at the Mountaineer Restaurant for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Charles Crawford; her husband, William E. Sharp; infant son, William H. Sharp; and brother, William Junior Crawford.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Begley and husband, Ralph of Kingsport and Bobbie Jo Coffman of Kingsport; two sons, Mickey Crawford and wife, Michelle of Jonesborough and William J. Sharp of Kingsport; one stepson and one stepdaughter; thirteen grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; one brother, Michael A. Crawford of Kingsport; three sisters, Nellie Arnold, Gladys Crawford and Lillie Absher, all of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport and also anytime at 925 Fairview Avenue. Services will be conducted at 12 p.m. with Rev. Jackie Begley officiating.
Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
