Betty L. Starnes

Betty L. Clonce Starnes, 83, of Kingsport, died Wednesday morning, May 30, 2012, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after an extended illness. Born in Kingsport, where she had resided all of her life, Betty was a homemaker and a member of Morrison City Mission Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willis R. "Pete" Starnes.

Betty is survived by sons, Willis R. "Buck" Starnes and fiancée, Mary Frances McCrary, Donald Richard Starnes and fiancée, Patricia Fletcher, and Anthony Lynn Starnes, all of Kingsport; grandchildren, Brandy Owens, Joni Haynes, Donald Richard Starnes, Jr. and Heather Frances; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Kristen, Hannah and Corbin; great-great-grandson, Jackson; sister, Mary Rogers of Kingsport; brother, Thomas Alan Clonce of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 12:30 to 2:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Pastor Joseph Hill and Pastor Kenny Hill officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
