Betty Ruth "Phillips" Steadman

Betty Steadman, 85, Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord early Friday morning, November 24, 2023.  She was born in the Sullivan Gardens area of Kingsport to Onnie and Georgie Phillips and resided in Blountville and Kingsport most of her life. Betty worked at Raytheon of Bristol in production and retired after many years of service.  She was a member of Deck Valley Road Baptist Church, Bristol, TN, and was a devout Chistian who loved Jesus.

Mrs. Steadman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lynn Steadman; two brothers, Frank and Fred; and two sisters, Irene and Rosa Lee.  Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Debbie Inscore and husband, Keith; Ronnie Steadman and wife, Beth; four grandchildren; Daniel, Bryan, Kristy and R.J.; six great-grandchildren; sister Cathy Noel; two brothers, Jim and Vernon Phillips; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 28, 2023, from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in the chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Blountville, followed by a service at 1:00pm officiated by Rev. Gary Rowlette.  The graveside service will be held in the Garden of Solomon at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park.
