Betty Blue Tate

Betty Blue Tate, age 79, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Betty was born on July 7, 1933 to the late Mr. Frank Holden and Mrs. Manilla B. Holden. She was a woman who always saw the good in every person and never had a bad word to say about anyone. Betty will truly be missed by so many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mrs. Frankie Lyons of Bluff City, TN.

Betty is survived by her husband, Harold Delane Tate; two daughters, Penny Brock and her husband, Joseph of Richmond, VA, and Deborah Caserta and her husband, Dino of Johnson City, TN; three grandchildren, Dustin Caserta of Jersey City, NJ, Zackary Caserta of Chico, CA, and Danielle Caserta of Johnson City, TN; two sisters, Josephine Shelton and her husband, James Bud of Johnson City, TN, and Judy Howard and her husband, Gill of Woodstock, GA; and many more nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Chaplain Harold H. Caserta, Commander, USN, officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, January 25th at 11:00 a.m. at Washington County Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Shane Murray, Todd Murray, Dino Caserta, Joe Brock and Dustin Caserta.
