Beulah E. Collett

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want"

Beaulah Elizabeth Amos Clark Collett passed peacefully into the arms of her loving heavenly shepherd on Tuesday, September 06, 2011. She was born March 19, 1927 in Castlewood, Virginia, the ninth of twelve children. Her father got a job at a "new" Kingsport plant, called Eastman. He moved his family from Castlewood to Kingsport, settling in the Beechwood area. Beaulah and her sisters had many stories to tell of growing up in the then young city of Kingsport. She leaves behind a legacy of trial and triumph. She now will rest in the arms of Jesus.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Georgia Riner Amos and Elisha Houston Amos; brothers, Charlie, Robert and Albert Amos; sisters, Vergie Forbes, Della Fleming, Marie Amos, Shirley Amos, Rosa Amos and Maude Wise Tharp; infant son and daughter, Johnny Earl and Linda Marie Clark.

Beaulah's remaining family members are daughter and son-in-law Judy and Frank Purner; sisters, Nannie Lovelace and Ollie Collier; grandchildren, Adam and Glenda Williams, David and Margaret Douthat, Tom and Melissa Dixon; great-grandchildren, Luke and Landon Williams, Dan, Nozomi and Chelsie Royal, Derek, Mitchell, Ashley and Kate Dixon; one great-great-grandson, Henry Royal; her first husband, Roy Earl Clark: several nieces and nephews including special niece, Helen Amos Alley and special caregiver, Jeanne Bellamy. She also leaves behind her friends at Kiwanis Towers and her loving kitty, Molly.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 8th at 4:00 p.m. in Oak Hill Memorial Park, Rev. Boyd Holder officiating. Family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Victory Apostolic Church, 1921 Kite Street, Kingsport, TN 37664.
