Beulah "Faye" Gilreath

Beulah “Faye” Gilreath, 80, of Kingsport, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2024. Born January 15, 1944, in Nickelsville, VA, she later moved to Kingsport where she lived the rest of her life. Faye retired from Kingsport Press after 40 years of service. She was a very dedicated member of Midway Baptist Church in Gate City, VA.

She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Clara and Jim Robinson; father, Ford McConnell; husband of 58 and a half years, Billy Gilreath; son, Tim Gilreath; and brother, Maynard McConnell.

Faye is survived by her son, Jeff Gilreath and fiancé Missy; stepmother, Nell Kendrick (Fred); step-sister, Anita Howell (Danny); sisters-in-law, Carolynn Odle (Billy), Linda Botkin (Blaine), Carol Goode (Wayne), Frances Clonce (Jr), and Mary Sanders (Wayne); brothers-in-law, Allen Gilreath (Sue), and Jimmy Gilreath (Melissa); grandchildren, Heather Ervin, Sarah Gilreath, Ryan Gilreath (Lindsey); six great-grandchildren, favorite niece, Faith Ann Wisor; several nephews; special friend, Janice Osborne; and special pet, Jasper “Mamaw’s baby bear”.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Midway Baptist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Marvin Egan and Rev. Coy Butler officiating and music by Dinah Hicks.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Addington Frame Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Lane, Ryan Gilreath, Scotty Perry, Tommy Ray Gillenwater, Gary Elliott, and Jerry McConnell.
