Beulah "Boots" Hilliard, 90, of Kingsport, died Sunday morning, November 4, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Meadowview, VA, she had resided in Kingsport since 1940. Boots had worked at Eastman Chemical Company in the secretarial pool for several years and later was a bookkeeper at Hilliard Sheet Metal. She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William F. "Bill" Hilliard; parents; sisters, Mabel Hagy, Margaret Jones and Virginia Buckles; and brother, Vanor Moore.
Boots is survived by her daughters, Ann Campbell and husband, Jerry of Garner, NC, and Judy Hilliard Gray of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Amy Creasman, Jessica McCracken and husband, Matthew, and Matthew Campbell and wife, Suzanne; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 7th from 12-1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow in the chapel at 1:00 pm with Rev. Jack Weikel officiating. The eulogy will be given by Kim Lower.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Oak Hill Memorial Park. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Dub Lady, Curtis Spivey, Frank Buckles and John Robinette.
