Beverly Bear

Beverly Bear, 55, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 6, 2017. Born in Kingsport, she had lived here most of her life. She was a part of the last graduating class of Sullivan West and went on to receive her Bachelors in Engineering from Tennessee Tech. She then went on to pursue her passion by receiving her degree in Early Childhood Development at NE Tech. She became the Daycare Director at Glen Alpine United Methodist Church. Beverly was employed at Sullivan County Elementary School. She loved life.

She was preceded in death by her dad, Clyde Morelock, and brother, Terry Morelock.

Beverly is survived by her husband of 30 years, Ricky Bear; mother, Lora Morelock; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Jack Morelock and Brother Jim Mullins officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

No flowers please due to allergies. Memorial contributions may be made to Lone Star Baptist Church, 5401 Lone Star Road, Kingsport, TN 37660.
