Beverly Jean Turner, 61, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home following a courageous fight with many health issues. She was born in Rutherford, NC and had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Beverly was a Douglas School Alumnus and had worked as a crossing guard and also as a fire watcher for Flour-Daniels Construction. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and was the head of the usher board. Beverly was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed cooking and feeding her friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel Callahan; father, Bob Bradley; brother, Raymond Bradley; and by her maternal grandmother.
Beverly is survived by two daughters, Tessa Parker and Jessica Swearingen and husband, Jerry; three grandsons, Casery Bradley, James Bradley and Gregory Bradley; two sisters, Iris Bradley and Mia Goins; two brothers, Gregory Bradley and Terry Bradley; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Central Baptist Church. The memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. with Minister Perry Stuckey, Minister Lester Turner and Minister Billy Pearson officiating.
