Donald William Bill Baines, 70, Greeneville, TN went to be with the Lord at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at his home.
Bill was born in Kingsport and grew up in Fall Branch until moving to Greeneville in 1989. He was a security guard at Parker Industries in Greeneville until his retirement. Bill served in the Tennessee National Guard. He enjoyed playing the guitar having played with various groups. Bill was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved his church and church family.
His parents and daughter, Carol Ann Baines preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Pat Baines, of the home; daughter, Sandra Conley, Kingsport, TN; son, Rev. Chris Baines and wife Debra, Greeneville, TN; three grandchildren, Shana Lynn, Matthew Baines, and Racheal Lynn; two great-grandchildren, Eli Braden and Roland Ray Potts; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes.
Services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Jones, Rev. Chris Baines, and Rev. Jeff Gibson officiating.
Graveside services will be Sunday at 2 p.m at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Baines, Daniel Laney, Bill Cox, Joe Doud, and Jerry Norton.
