Bill Hashbarger

Bill Hashbarger, 74, Jonesborough, was born on September 10, 1943 and passed away Friday, September 22, 2017 surrounded by his family. He was the greatest husband, dad and papaw.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Huvil and Willie Burke Hashbarger; brothers, Roy, Dean and Don Hashbarger; and his grandson, Issac Hashbarger whom he raised as his own.

Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Hashbarger; sons, Dewey (Mickie) Hashbarger, Roy (Joy) Hashbarger, and Travis Hashbarger; daughter, Shelia (Randy) Jackson, and Danielle (David) Crumley; grandchildren, Chasidy Bennett, Ethan, Dylan, Jimmy, Jacob, and Erica Hashbarger, Tia Roberts, Tara Ward Hodge, David Cozad, Alyssa and Charley Colgrove, and Abbi Crumley; brother, Jim Hashbarger; sisters, Shirley (Tom) Hubbard and Ruby Stevens; his precious great-grandkids, Dixie, Mason, Luca, Aiden, Winry, and Dennis; and his lifelong friends, Frankie Bacon, Jim Greene. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5-7:00 pm on Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Charlie Byrd and Rev. Eddie McAmis officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Bacon-Kincheloe Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Travis, Jimmy and Jacob Hashbarger, Tommy Stevens, Tyler Hodge, and Darrin Sherfey. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Greene and Frankie Bacon.
