Bill R. Lemmons, 83, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 26, 2013.
He served in the U.S. Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne. He retired from Eastman Chemical Co. after 34 years of service. He was an avid fisherman.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; his parents, Dwight Carson Lemmons and Maude Dockery Hartgrove; sister, Patsy Osborne; and two sons, William and Dwight Lemmons.
He is survived by his daughters, Judy Faust (Terry) and Linda Baggett (Craig); and five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2013, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
The graveside service will be on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Craig Baggett, Terry Faust, Charlie Phillips, Zachary Lemmons, Gaven Phillips, and Brayden Phillips. Nathan Baggett will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society,
