Bill Miller

G. William Miller, III, 67, Kingsport, TN, died Wednesday morning, November 7, 2012 of an apparent heart attack.

Born in Springfield, Ohio, he had resided 34 years in Ft. Myers, FL, and 5 ½ years in Vail, AZ, prior to moving to Kingsport in 2011. Bill received his B. S. degree in Business Administration from the University of South Florida in 1988. He served in the U.S. Army.

Bill's business career included the banking and healthcare industries and county government. He proudly served as Commissioner and Chairman of the Board for South Trail Fire District in Ft. Myers, FL from 1995 to 2005, and he was a past treasurer of the American Lung Association of Southwest Florida. He continued his public service as a member of the Arizona Rangers. Bill was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on classic cars.

His parents, George and Mary Miller preceded him in death.

Surviving are his wife, Bobbie Miller, of Kingsport; daughter, Shana Crowley, Ft. Myers, FL; two granddaughters, Morgan and Amanda Crowley; great-grandson Bentley Crowley-Blevins; sister, Linda Joy Miller, Ft. Myers, FL; sister-in-law, Jackie Yankanich and husband Michael; several nieces and nephews: Nicole Clauser and husband Gary, their children, Garret, Hope, Payton, Connor; Michael James Yankanich and wife Lisa, their children, Fynn and Sydney; Gregory Roetter; Alison Stutz and husband Steve, their child, Lauren; two aunts and many cousins.

The family will receive friends Monday, November 12, 2012 from 10 - 11 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church. Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the church with Rev. Michael F. Nolan officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Yankanich, Gregory Roetter, Michael James Yankanich, and David Deselem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the South Trail Fire District, 5531 Halifax Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33912.
