Bill Murray

Bill Murray, 74, of Kingsport, passed away Friday, June 12, 2009 at his home.

He was retired from AFG and enjoyed playing bluegrass music at various places.

Preceding him in death were a son, Tony Murray; and two brothers S. D. Murray and George Murray.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Murray; daughter, Kim Newton and husband Eddie; son, Chad Murray, all of Kingsport; one grandson, Dominic Newton; five sisters, Linda Fletcher and husband Ray of Kingsport, Thelma Galloway of Spartanburg, SC, Virda Barrett and husband Jay, Edna Linn and Margaret Shipley, all of Kingsport; one brother, Frank Murray and wife Marie of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Dr. Millard Porter officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends will serve as pallbearers.
