Billie Pierson, 76, Fall Branch, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Friday, June 8, 2012.

He was born in Washington County, TN to the late Clarence and Edna Pearson on September 18, 1935.

Bill graduated from Fall Branch High School Class of 1953. After graduation, he went to work at the Mead Corporation and worked there until he retired in October 1998. He then worked part-time at East Tennessee Auto Auction. Bill loved the outdoors--hunting, fishing and gardening.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Bill was a member of oak Glen Baptist Church of Fall Branch, where he had taught a Sunday School Class and was choir director. He had a beautiful voice and loved to sing.

His brother, Harold Clinton Pearson preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife, Drenda Pierson; daughter, Debbie Thomas and her husband Reed and their daughters, Ashley and Sydney; his son, Tony A. Pierson and his wife Cindy; his daughter, Elisha Hicks and her husband Johnny; and his son, Jeremy P. Pierson and his wife Michelle and their daughters, Casey, Hannah and Emery. Bill is also survived his a sister he loved dearly, Shirley "Sis" Harless; brother Leroy Pearson and wife Shirley; special "Little Buddie" Austin Ball; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. David Salley officiating.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012 at Oak Glen Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews and other family members.

Honorary pallbearers will be Willie "Bill" Stacy, Omer "Tip" Tipton, Kermit Crawford, Wayne Morrison and Jackie Mullins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oak Glen Baptist Church, 596 Oak Glen Drive, Fall Branch, TN 37656; or to the Fall Branch Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 84, Fall Branch, TN 37656.

A special thank you to Dr. Herbert Ladley, his Cardiologist since 1984 and Dr. Monty Stirman and his staff.
