Billie Jo Cox, 64, Kingsport, TN, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 20, 2009. Billie Jo worked as a beautician for many years and has been blessed by numerous long-time friends and clients. At home she enjoyed studying scripture, time in her rose garden, working around the yard, oil painting, and teaching Sunday School.
Billie Jo goes to the Lord before her three children, Jon Normark, Mary Hazle, and James Normark; step-daughter, Karen Willis; grandchildren, Sara Normark, Daniel Way, Sidney Hazle, Matthew Hazle, and Jacob Normark; and her devoted friend, Fred Coffey.
Services will be held at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. John W. Crawford officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral services from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Billie Jo will be laid to rest at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery beside her late husband, Harvey Cox, on Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
