Billie Katherine Pecktal

Billie Katherine Pecktal, 94, of Kingsport, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord at her home Saturday, (November 23, 2019). 

Born in Abingdon, Virginia, she graduated from King College with a secretarial degree.  After graduating college, she made her home in Kingsport. Billie retired from AFG where she worked for many years.  She was a long time member of Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church and was secretary of her Sunday School class.

She is preceded in death by her parents; William and Pearl Phelps; husband, William Pecktal; and brother, Jack Phelps.

Billie is survived by a sister; Jean Hale of Abingdon, Virginia, and niece, Kathy Hale and husband, Bill Hill of Abingdon, Virginia.

She loved wild flowers and had planted a beautiful variety of them at her home.  She also loved feeding her birds and squirrels.

A special thank you to Tammy Fisher and family for the loving care they provided.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26th, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home in Kingsport, Tennessee with Pastor Steve Nickel officiating.  Graveside services to follow at Knollkreg Memorial Park, Abingdon, Virginia.
