Billy Ray Gilreath

Billy Ray Gilreath, 76, went to be with the Lord, August 2, 2022 at his home. He was born in Virginia and resided in Kingsport since 1964. Billy retired from Eastern Concrete.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, two sisters and son, Tim Gilreath in 2018.

Survivors include his wife of 58 and half years, Faye Gilreath; son, Jeff Gilreath (Missy); grandchildren, Heather, Sarah, Ryan and (Lindsey), and Brittany; six great-grandchildren; siblings Jimmy Gilreath (Melissa), Allen Gilreath (Sue), Carrol Goode (Wayne), Linda Botkin (Blaine), Frances Clonce (Junior), Mary Sanders (Wayne); and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to send special thanks to Amedysis Hospice Nurses, Dr. Amy Lynn Crawford and brother Jimmy for taking such good care of him.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday, August 5, 2022, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Coy Butler officiating. Special music will be by Second Coming. Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Addington Family Cemetery in the Nickelsville community.
