Billy G. Lane

Billy G. Lane, 77, Humboldt, TN, formerly of Kingsport, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at TN State Veterans Home after an extended illness. He was born in Kingsport, where he resided most of his life before moving to Humboldt in 2006. Billy was an electrician and a Veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis K. Lane, and parents, Charlie and Ludema Lane.

Billy is survived by his daughter, Pam McKinney and husband, Mark of Arlington, TN; two grandchildren, Andrew McKinney, Stephen McKinney and wife, Krystal; sister, Bobbie Summers and husband, Bob of Kingsport; brother, Marvin Lane and wife, Bobbie of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, January 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park with Mark McKinney officiating. Military rites by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will follow the graveside service at the cemetery.
