Billy M. Neeley, 78, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born and raised in Duffield, VA, he lived most of his life in Kingsport. Billy worked for BF Goodrich and Bandag Tire. He professed faith in Christ as his Savior.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Shannon Neeley; five brothers; two sisters; and his parents, Dave and Avie Neeley.
Billy is survived by his wife, Billie Jo Neeley of Kingsport; daughter, Teresa Neeley Richards and husband, Phil of Fall Branch; sons, Dennis Neeley and wife, Robin, Ricky Neeley and wife, Terry, and Gary Neeley and daughter, Jessica, all of Kingsport; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Josie Collins of Kingsport and Helen Thompson of Blountville; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 19th from 6-8:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 pm with Rev. Willie K. Neeley and Rev. Daris Horne officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, July 20th at 10:00 am at Holston View Cemetery in Weber City, VA.
Pallbearers will be Ed Carter, Bill Stone, Daniel Neeley, Jerry Sherfey, Dude Fletcher and L.A. Henry.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff of Wilcox Hall and the nurses of Amedysis Hospice.
