Billy H. Wilson

Billy H. Wilson, 75, Mt. Carmel, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at his home.

He was born in Greeneville, TN and had resided in Mount Carmel for the past 22 years. Billy retired from Tennessee Eastman in 1997 with 40 years of service where he was in the Engineering and Construction Division. He then worked for 16 years with Alltranstek. He enjoyed traveling and loved his family and friends. He also enjoyed the beach.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Vesta Wilson.

Billy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Wilson of Mount Carmel; daughter, Tammy Salyers and husband Chris of Kingsport; son, Tony Wilson and wife Pam of Kingsport; his very precious granddaughters, Sarah Tanner and husband Wes of Knoxville, Emily Wilson and Heather Salyers, both of Kingsport; brother, Jack Wilson and wife Judy of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh and Pastor Jerry Hensley officiating.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church Hill Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Combs, Gerald Adkins, Chris Wyler, Tim Taylor, Tim Wilson, Jeff Adkins and Craig Bass.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Pratt, Jr. and John Garland, Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 505 Dale Street, Kingsport, TN 37660.
