Blain "Buck" Johnson, 80, of Kingsport passed away Friday, December 26, 2014 due to injuries of an automobile accident.
Buck served in the US Army and was a Kingsport firefighter for many years. He retired from Lowe's after putting in 10 years. He loved to watch wrestling and watch the birds as they ate from the feeders that he kept full.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ethel Johnson, sister, Lynn Johnson, two brothers, John Henry and Charlie B. Johnson, and son, Buckie Johnson, Jr.
Buck is survived by son, Frank E. Johnson and wife, Bonnie, six daughters: Donna, Lynn, Becky Johnson, Angie Johnson, Jenny Johnson and special friend, Josh Shephard, and Marsha Portillo and husband, Jhonathan; grandchildren: Victoria Johnson, Lauren, Elise, and Allen Michael Bentley, Cassie and Blain Collins, Ayden Crumley; two sisters: Rachel Harrison and Evelyn Minton; two brothers: Samual C. Johnson, Ben Johnson and wife, Linda; sister-in-law: Joan Etta Johnson.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 30, 2014 from 11-1 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with funeral services following at 1 p.m. with Pastor Scott Kinnick officiating.
An entombment will be held following funeral at East Lawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum. Military service will be held by American Legion.
