Blake C. Bullis

Blake C. Bullis, 23, of Asheville, North Carolina formerly of Kingsport, died Thursday evening after complications with muscular dystrophy duchenne. Blake had graduated in 2011 from Sullivan Central High School as a scholastic honor student. He was a member of Indian Springs Christian Church. Blake always had a smile on his face even though he had many physical challenges. He had had a love for his family and enjoyed playing video games. Blake was a huge UT Vols sports fan, especially their women's basketball program.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Raymond Bullis; and maternal grandparents, Elsie and Harold Wagner.

Blake is survived by his parents, Don Bullis and Janet Woods Bullis; one brother, Jason Boyd; one nephew, Roan Boyd; paternal grandmother, Virginia Bullis Bellamy; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and best friend, Andrea Norton.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 4 p.m. with Mike Beverly, minister, officiating.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 9 at East Tennessee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to Indian Springs Christian Church, 5536 Kiowa St, Kingsport, TN 37664.
