Blanch Box, 82, Gray, died at 7:55 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2018, at the Life Care Center of Gray after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
She was born in Hawkins County and had lived in Alabama for 20 years returning to the Church Hill area in the 80's. Blanch worked at Silver Lake Golf Course in sales.
Blanch was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Box; father, Melvin Morelock; step-father and mother, G. K. and Nell Marshall; one sister, Joyce Flanary; four brothers, Luke, Jimmy, Clyde "Bubbles", and Eugene "Buddy" Morelock.
She is survived by son, Donnie Marshall and wife, Teresa of Blountville, TN; the loves of her life, grandsons, Donnie Marshall II, Gray, TN and Daniel Marshall, Blountville,TN ; great grandson, Caden Marshall; four sisters, Ruth Goad, Judy Snapp, Phyllis Mathis all of Church Hill, TN, and Martha Jobe and husband, Bob of Indianapolis, IN; and several half-brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow with Rev. Doug Drinnon officiating. Private graveside services will be conducted Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Life Care Center of Gray and to Caris Hospice for the excellent care Blanch received.
