Blanche Adaline Robinson

Blanche Adaline Robinson, 84, Kingsport, TN, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

Born in Blackwater, VA, she had resided in Kingsport since the early 1940's. She retired from J. P. Stevens after more than 40 years of employment.

Blanche was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Belle Robinson; two sisters, Reba Richardson and Madge Mayo; one brother, Lester Robinson; and one half-brother, Matt Fleenor.

Survivors include one sister, Leon Wallen of Kingsport; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews; and special friend, Mildred Dennison of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 till 7:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport and friends may call any time at the home of Gwen McAmis, 2612 Ingle Street, Kingsport, TN. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with nieces leading the service.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Flower Gap Baptist Church Cemetery in Blackwater, VA.
