Bob Stokes
Bob Stokes, 79, of Kingsport, died Tuesday February 23, 2010 after an apparent heart attack. Born in Gate City, Virginia, he had resided in Kingsport most of his life. Bob worked for the Kingsport Press for many years as a book binder.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Stokes.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynn Stokes Allen of Destin, FL; son, Alan Ross Stokes of Mt. Juliet, TN; granddaughter, Magnolia Ann Allen; grandson, Logan Warren Kelley; sister, Evelyn Dennison of Kingsport; special friend, Emma Jean Herron of Gate City, VA; and several nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
