Bobby Jean Tipton

Bobby Jean Tipton, 79, Fall Branch, went to be the Lord, on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Life Care Center of Gray. Born in Stoney Creek, VA, she had resided in Fall Branch for most of her life. She was a member of Pyburn Freewill Baptist Church. Bobby Jean had a great love for flowers and was always known as an extremely hard working lady.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Tip" Tipton; son, Richard Dean Tipton; two daughters, Vickie Gail Tipton, and Timmie Gail Tipton; granddaughter, Shanna Renea Jones; parents, Lloyd and Mary Akers; brother, Elza Akers; and three sisters, Evelyn Baker, Pauline Begley, and Ina Begley.

Bobby Jean is survived by three daughters, Peggy Jones and husband, Jimmy, Sandy Pauley and Paula Smith; son, James "Jimmy" Tipton and wife, Sheila; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Claude Buford Akers and wife, Ruby; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlet-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 with Pastor Phil Kestner officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11:00 am at First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Baptist Church of Fall Branch Cemetery Fund, 1525 Highway 93, Fall Branch, TN 37656.
