Bobby Glen Tipton

Bobby Glen Tipton, 72, of Kingsport passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at home.

Bobby attended Higher Ground Baptist Church for several years until his health declined.

He loved music and especially Elvis. He loved people and never met a stranger. Bobby had a beautiful smile.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Ruby Tipton.

Survivors include his brother, Ronald Tipton and wife, Mary; sister and special caregiver, Betty Jo Tipton; brother, Ted Tipton and wife, Latoni; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and uncles.

The family extends a special thanks to the staff of Cornerstone Personal Care Services, Evergreen Life Services, and Amedisys Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ray Amos officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
