Bonnie Klepper Blizard, 90, of Kingsport passed away Monday, June 11, 2007. Born in Rogersville, Tennessee, she came to Kingsport in 1941.
Mrs. Blizard was employed with Freels Drugstore for 29 years, retiring in 1975. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, and was active in the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Sidney Williams; her first husband, Kelsie Klepper; her second husband, Donald Blizard, Sr.; her twin sister, Bobbie Lawson; three brothers, Richard Williams, Roy Williams, and Charlie Williams; her sister, Virginia T. Williams; and a grandson, Jon K. Klepper.
Surviving are her sons, Coy H. Klepper, and wife Betty; Merle Klepper, and wife Ann; Wayne Klepper, and wife Reba, all of Kingsport; two sisters, Maxie Williams and Shirley Lawson, both of Rogersville; six grandchildren, Pamela Greer, Melinda Jones, Brian Klepper, Todd Klepper, Becky Bowman, and Kris Klepper; seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson with Rev. Jim Swoager officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Choptack Baptist Church Cemetery in Rogersville.
Sons and grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Cedarview Presbyterian Church, 900 Delrose Drive, Kingsport, TN 37660. The family wishes to express a sincere thanks to Wellmont Hospice for the special care that they provided.
