Bonnie Forester, 83, of Kingsport died on Friday, December 28, 2012 at Asbury Place at Steadman Hill after an extended illness.
Bonnie was a devoted sister and aunt and she left a testimony of love to all who knew her. She retired from J. P. Stevens and was a charter member of the J. P. Stevens Women's Club.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Estel Goins and mother, Florra Ona Goins; sisters, Elvie Goins, Gladys Ryan, Eulola Garber, Beulah Goins, and Stella Gilliam; brother, Ewing Garber; niece, Patsy McWherter and husband Randy; and great-nephew, Austin Goins.
Bonnie is survived by her brother, Kenneth Elmo Bo Goins and wife Nellie Mowdy Goins; nieces, Janice Wade and husband Paul, Tina Lyons, Sabrina Goins, and Deborah Castronovo; nephews, John Goins and wife Jenny, Rick Goins and wife Rhonda, and Tony Goins and wife Linda.
Her life was blessed with eleven great-nieces and great-nephews, Jonathan and wife Ester, Jackie and husband Dave, Deborah, Jessica, Matthew and wife Kelly, Sarah and fiancé Eric, Kenneth and wife Heather, Cole and wife Ellie, and Eric and wife Priscilla, Lisa and husband Jonathan, and Amy and husband Michael; and ten great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Tyler, Elizabeth, Tyson, Ryan, Keagan, Samantha, Brayden, Sophia, Isabella, and Jonah.
Visitation will be at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport on Sunday December 30th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Lawrence Wolfe, Rev. Doug Arrington and Rev. John Goins officiating.
Graveside services will be held on Monday, December 31st at 1 p.m. in Holston View Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth Lyons, Jonathan Goins, Eric Goins, Dave Wohleber, Larry Garber, Herman Garber, Bobby Everhart, Randall Garber, Eric Sams, and Harry Moore.
Honorary pallbearers will be Cole Goins, Johnny Garber, Carl Hilton, Van and Louella Blair, Deborah Walker, Jessica Ballew, Sarah Goins, Jackie Wohleber, Ester Goins, Jackie Moore, Frieda Wright, and Deborah Oakes.
