Bonnie M. Grayson, 81, of Colonial Heights, died Friday, November 14, 2008 at Graystone Health Care after a lengthy illness.
Bonnie was a graduate of Sullivan High School and Whitney School of Business. She worked briefly for Tennessee Eastman and retired from Mead Corporation after 39 years of service.
She was a member of Victory Apostolic Church.
Preceding her in death were her father, Oscar Mowell; mother and stepfather, Mary Barrett and Charlie Barrett; sister, Nellie Conkin; and two brothers, Glen Mowell and Gale Mowell.
Surviving are her son, David E. Grayson Sr. and wife Cathy of Church Hill; five grandchildren, David E. Grayson Jr., Christopher S. Grayson, Lori M. Grayson, Bobby E. Grayson, and Tawney N. Gladson; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Barrett and wife Anne of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. with Bishop Hagan Webb officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Mowell Cemetery in Blairs Gap.
