Bonnie Jean Linkous

Bonnie Jean Linkous, 69, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2015. An avid member of Bloomingdale Baptist Church, she retired from Kingsport Endoscopy. Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Linkous; parents, Ogle and Gertrude Powers; and brother, Bob Powers.

Bonnie is survived by her son, Louis Linkous of Kingsport; daughter, Peggie Linkous of Maryville, TN; son, Derik Linkous of Kingsport; 4 grandchildren, Brandy Norris, Hunter Helton, Kaci and Walker Linkous; 2 great-grandchildren, Jaden and Shyanne Norris; siblings, Betty Honaker of Kingsport, Tom Powers of Greeneville, Bill Powers of Church Hill, and Randy Powers of Greeneville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special caregivers, Pearlie Price and Missy Stissel.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11-1:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Phil Whittemore officiating. Burial will follow at Church Hill Memory Gardens.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
