Bonnie J. Lady

Bonnie J. Lady, 91, of Kingsport, passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014.

A native of Kingsport, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Pearl Jackson Lady.
She was a member of Eastern Star, Liberty #198 for over 50 years and a charter member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church. Bonnie enjoyed all types of needlework.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Eloise Lady and Leota Cox, and two brothers, Carl Lady, Sr., and Paul Lady.

Bonnie is survived by nieces, Zella Hunigan and husband, Dwight, and Ruth Hurst and husband, John; nephew, Carl Lady, Jr., great-niece, Emily Johnson and husband, David; great-nephews, Bill Hunigan and wife, Talli, James Hurst and wife, Christine, Russell Hurst and wife, Allison; several great-great nieces; and several great-great nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of Smokey Mountain Hospice and very special caregivers.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 6 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 6 pm with Jerry Ketron officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday at 11 am with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 108 Colonial Heights Rd., Kingsport, TN 37663, or to a charity of choice.
