Bonnie K. Miller passed away at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center on January 8, 2011 after a long illness.

Bonnie was born on November 17, 1932 to O.M. and Bonnie Kern. She graduated from Sullivan High School in 1951. She was a member of First Broad Street United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Florence Hood and Helen Jeter.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Walter F. Miller; son, Dr. David M. Miller and fiancée Betsy of Wenatchee, Washington; daughter, Jane Miller Kuss and husband Jim of Rosman, NC; grandsons, Zach Kuss and wife Corin of Penrose, NC, SPC Taylor A. Kuss, US Army, Honolulu Hawaii; great-granddaughter, Amaya Emma Harris; brother, Ross Kern and wife Jean of Kingsport; sister, Evelyn Long of Kingsport; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Monday at First Broad Street United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm in the church chapel with Rev. Karl Netting and Rev. Jack P. Weikel officiating.

Entombment services will be conducted at 10:00am Tuesday at Oak Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:50am.

Bonnie's family would like to thank the staff of Brookhaven Manor for their special care for the past year.
