Bonnie Wallen Miller Pepper, 98, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 3, 2017, at her home. Born in Scott County, VA, having lived most of her life in Morristown, she had resided in Kingsport for the past 10 years. She was a member of Natural Tunnel Freewill Baptist Church and had attended Calvary Baptist Church in Morristown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Asbury Miller; daughter, Patricia Ann Fowler; 2 sons-in-law, James Queen and Bill Richardson; parents, James and Ollie Wallen; sisters, Lina, Laura, Mattie, Lucy and Lovely; and brothers, Elbert, Hiram, Odker and Radford.
Bonnie is survived by daughters, Jean Richardson and Zeable Queen-McDavid; 6 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Ryan Elliott and Rev. Bobby Kitts officiating.
The graveside service will be conducted on Friday at 10:00 am at Holston View Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital, 950 W. Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605, or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000 Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
