Brady Owen Nussman, 4, Blountville, TN, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his home with his parents by his side following a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Brady enjoyed trains, super heroes, Disney characters, and his iPad. Brady never met a stranger and always had a smiling face and a loving spirit. He was our joy and will be in hearts forever.
His great-grandparents, Joy Ludwick, Charles and Evelyn Lake, David and Sara Reames, preceded him in death.
Surviving are his parents, Jarred and Whitney Reames Nussman, Blountville, TN; grandparents, Ronald and Karen Nussman, Kingsport, TN; David and Laura Reames, Kingsport, TN; great-grandfather, Roger Owen Ludwick, Dayton, OH; great-grandparents, James and Renee Nussman, Dayton, OH; aunts and uncles, Zachariah Nussman and wife, Krystal, Savannah, GA; Melinda Nussman, Kingsport, TN; Danielle Nussman, Kingsport, TN; Dayne Nussman, Kingsport, TN; Luke Nussman, Kingsport, TN; and Allison Reames, Los Angeles, CA; numerous family members and close friends.
The family will receive friends 5-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with the funeral service to follow at the church with Pastor Steve Counts officiating.
A private graveside service will be conducted Thursday, May 17, 2012.
Pallbearers will be Zachariah Nussman, Dayne Nussman, Luke Nussman, and "Uncle" Tim Elsea.
Brady's family would like to thank the medical staff who cared for Brady so lovingly during his illness. In particular, we extend our gratitude to Drs. Klopfenstein, Popescu, and Kalwinsky, to the staff of the St. Jude Clinic in Johnson City, to the Pediatric Unit nursing staff of Niswonger, and to the Wellmont Hospice nurses. We also thank our friends, neighbors, co-workers, Pastor and church members, and so many others who have shown their kindness and love in very many ways.
Gifts to assist the family may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 800 Broad St, Kingsport, TN 37660, marked "For Brady". Donations in excess of need will go to the church Memorial Fund. Memorials in honor of Brady may also be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 to help find a cure.
