Brandon Scott McGaha, 20, of Midway, died unexpectedly, at 12:54 a.m. Thursday, July 09, 2009, at Laughlin Memorial Hospital in Greeneville. He lived most of his life in Kingsport and was a graduate of Volunteer High School.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Reda McGaha; uncle, Alan McGaha; and his step-grandparents, Robert and Eula Patrick.
Brandon is survived by his parents, Sharron and David Patrick of Midway; maternal grandfather, Steve "Jack" McGaha of Kingsport; two aunts, Wanda McGaha of Church Hill and Tina Christian and husband Rick Ledington of Kingsport; two uncles, Randy McGaha of Kingsport and Ronnie McGaha and wife Sarah of Mt. Carmel; a special cousin, Christina Christian of Kingsport; and two step-uncles, Billy Patrick and Rickie Patrick, both of Church Hill.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport, and anytime at the grandfather's home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday with Robert Cole officiating.
Burial will follow the funeral at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
