Brenda Hensley Gilmore

Brenda Hensley-Gilmore, 53, of Kingsport went to be with the Lord, Friday, April 19, 2013. Born in Harriman, Tennessee, she had lived in this area most of her life.

Brenda was a member of Way of Life Church. She enjoyed life and loved her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Dennis Gilmore, and her parents Carson and Omie Hensley.

Brenda is survived by her daughter: Adria Hickman and boyfriend Curt of Kingsport; her son: Jason Hickman and wife Natosha of Mt. Carmel; and 3 grandchildren: Caleb, Emily, and McKenzie; 5 brothers: Frankie G. Hensley and wife Ellen, Charles C. Hensley, Billy Ray Hensley and wife Linda, Ernie Lee Hensley and wife Valerie, Harold D. Hensley and wife Teresa; one sister: Janice Cavitt and husband Ben; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews.

Graveside services are scheduled for Sunday, April 28, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Those planning to attend may meet at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. or at the cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral arrangements.
