Brenda Long
Brenda Long, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 16, 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Vivian Faye Buck; her father-in-law, Fred Long; and niece, Jessica Woodward.
Survivors include her husband, Fred Long, of Kingsport; daughter, Brandy Mowdy and husband, Tracy, also of Kingsport; son, Paul Bo Long, of Bristol; six grandchildren, Ashton Morelock, Kyla Henry, Ethan Long, Cody Long, Dylan Long, and Eion Long; sister Janie Mustafin and husband Eldar, of Lexington, KY; and mother-in-law, Lula Long, of Kingsport.
The family will receive friends at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport, on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Memorial Park, with Rev. John Irwin officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Hoyt Woodward, Tracy Mowdy, Bill Riner, Larry Kinsler, Charles Newland, Perry Carter, Joe Kilby, and Ken Strickland.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
