Brenda Jean Mendenhall

Brenda Jean Mendenhall, 56, of Kingsport, died Thursday morning, September 17, 2015 at her home after an extended illness. Born in Kingsport where she had resided all of her life, Brenda was a homemaker, beloved mother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Myrtle Mendenhall, and brothers, James Robert Mendenhall and Donald Ray Mendenhall.

Brenda is survived by her daughters, Kristy Clark and husband, Jerry of Kingsport, and Deborah Mendenhall of Kingsport; son, Larry Mendenhall of Kingsport; five grandchildren, Daisy, Rory, Alexis, Camaron and Will; brother, Guy Mendenhall, Jr. of Rogersville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3-5:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 5:00 pm with Pastor Tom Edwards officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Depew's Chapel Cemetery with Pastor Odell Beauchamp officiating.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Clark, Camaron Clark, Larry Mendenhall, Kris Jones, Jon Stair and Dakota Judge.
