Brian Powell

Brian Christopher Powell, 39, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Born in Kingsport on March 29, 1977, a son of the late Billy Conway Powell and Judy Powell of Kingsport, he had resided in this area his entire life. Brian graduated from Sullivan North High School in 1996 and attended Maranatha Baptist Temple. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted father, son, brother and friend.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, R.D. and Callie Fugate.

Brian is survived by his son, Dylan Powell of Kingsport; mother Judy Powell of Kingsport; brother, Billy Powell and wife, Lisa of Kingsport; sisters, Terri Roger and husband, Scott of Church Hill, and Kim Wilson and husband, Gregg of Church Hill; and several nieces and nephews.

A private family gathering of family and friends will be held at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Pastor Tim Jarrett officiating.
