Bruce Reed, 62, of Fall Branch passed on Thursday, February 21, 2008 at his home after a short battle with cancer.
Bruce was a member of Gray United Methodist Church. He retired after 42 years of service from Quebecor. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Crossing Golf Course.
He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother and was loved by all who knew him.
Preceding him in death were his father, Clyde Reed; and special brother, Harold Goodman.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Carolyn Reed of the home; stepdaughter, Kim Kilian and husband Chuck, Fall Branch; two sons, Todd Reed and fiancée Stephanie Gibson of Gray, David Reed and wife Michelle of Knoxville; two grandchildren, Brooke Reed and Logan Kilian; mother, Agnes Reed of Johnson City; brother, Bill Reed and wife Deborah of Kingsport; and very special sister, Juanita and family members from Florida, the Burgers.
Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Services will follow at 8 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Samuel Siebo and Rev. Victor Wallace officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Roy Jones, Bill Greer, Randy Gray, Jerry Lovegrove, Richard Shadden, Turby Cloyd, Craig Goodman and Tony Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bruce's co-workers at Quebecor.
