Bryan Hammitt

Bryan Clayborn Hammitt passed away at Holston Valley Medical Center on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the age of 57. He was born in Stuttgart, Germany. Bryan was a loving father, son and brother. He attended Sullivan North High School and loved the Tennessee Vols "Vol For Life". Bryan worked in retail and enjoyed deer hunting, sports, bowling and supported the Bloomingdale Fire Department.

Bryan was preceded in death by father, Johnnie Hammitt; sister, Kimberly Hammitt (2021); and grandparents, Pauline and Clayborn Castle and Charlie Hammitt.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Sandra Hammitt; sons, Richard Hammitt and girlfriend Cierra Guthie and Johnathan Hammitt; brother, Dale Hammitt and wife Renee; nephews, Landon Hammitt and wife Whitney and their son, Cameron, and Hayden Hammitt and his girlfriend, Alex Brickey; mother of his children, Kimberly Laws; aunts, Audrey Smith and Wanda Grissom; several cousins.

Family will receive friends on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 p.m., with Rev. Bill Brown officiating.
